Client: S Mc Bride

Objective: To use an insulation material that would provide a thermally sound and airtight structure to the envelope of this unique architecturally designed house.

Solution: The unusual design of this round house means it’s has very few straight lines on the perimeter of the house creating a challenge for most insulations. However, BioBased 501s open cell spray foam insulation was ideal for a structure such as this, as it can be manufactured on site to suit any shape and size, expanding to 100 times its original size to fill every crack and crevice creating an airtight thermal seal of protection around this home.  This air-tight seal will help keep all of the room temperatures at consistent and desirable levels
