Objective:
Patrick Daly and his family
set themselves a target of constructing Irelands first zero carbon, zero
energy home. Patrick has succeeded in designing and constructing a 250m2
house which has been rated energy positive to the tune of 27kWh/m2/annum.
The breathable wall and roof build ups exceed passive standard by
utilising BioBased 501s spray foam insulation to a thickness of 400mm in a
twin stud timber frame construction designed to reduce the effects of
thermal bridging, have excellent u-values and not compromising on
breathability |
